PADDLING SPECIFIC TRAINING/FITNESS

Paddlefit offers a wide range of training courses focused to meet your needs. We have instructional courses for the beginner to the advenced paddler. Our sessions are designed to help beginners establish a base set of skills; intermediate paddlers to gain strength and efficiency in their expanding skill set; and the advanced paddler to immerse themselves in perfecting various paddling techniques.

Winter and Summer programs available in:

Kayak / Canoe (Recreational to Sprint or
Marathon)

Dragon Boating (Individual sessions to team
training programs)

Training sessions are available for groups or by private request.

Winter Kayaking Technique & Fitness Program

This 8 week fitness program was specifically designed with paddlers in mind. With the use of one of the latest kayaking simulators, these indoor training sessions are designed to challenge the skilled paddler as well as simply providing a thorough workout for recreational paddlers seeking the extensive physical benefits of kayaking. These sessions focus on:

Improving kayaking stroke technique
Developing shoulders, chest and back
Toning the abs
Increasing core stability and flexibility

Not only will you gain the physical benefits of kayaking but, your paddling technique will improve with coaching by one of Canada's top kayakers.
